The Science Behind CCS

Chromosomes carry our genetic basis . The normal number of chromosomes in each cell of our body is 46 in 23 pairs. There are 22 pairs of chromosomes that do not reflect the sex and called ‘autosomes’ (1 through 22) and one pair of ‘sex chromosomes’ (XX in females or XY in males). The importance of CCS that tests all of the chromosomes, that aneuploidy (abnormal number of chromosomes in the embryo) is the most important cause behind IVF/ICSI failure and miscarriage.
